“The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.”
— Psalm 34:10 (KJV)
There comes a point when a believer must separate their provision from their income.
Provision is the act of God; income is only a method He may choose to use.
Many limit God because they measure His ability by the size of their salary, forgetting that heaven’s economy does not run on wages.
Before the Verse of the Day reminds you of His riches in glory, the Intro reminds you that your source is not on earth.
You are not sustained by what comes into your hand — you are sustained by the One whose hand never closes.
This is why seekers of God never lack: their supply chain is divine, not earthly.
π Verse of the Day
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 4:19 (KJV)
✨ Reflection
Anchor Thought:“According to His riches in glory” removes your labour as the reason you receive.
Philippians 4:19 does not say: “God will supply your needs according to your salary.”
Or “according to your qualifications.”
Or “according to your hustle.”
Or “according to the economy.”
It says: “According to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
This means: Your job is a channel, not the source. Your income is a method, not the measure. Your labour is an act of obedience, not the basis of supply.
God is not limited by what you earn, what you lack, or what you don’t qualify for.
When something comes “according to” a person’s riches, it is determined by their capacity, not yours.
If a millionaire gives you “according to his riches,” he gives from abundance.
If a broke man gives you “according to his riches,” the amount will reflect his lack.
So when God supplies, He gives according to His riches, not yours — and His riches are glory-level, not earth-level.
Scripture reinforces this:
God gives “exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20).
He opens the windows of heaven (Malachi 3:10).
He gives pressed down, shaken together, and running over (Luke 6:38).
He crowns the year with goodness (Psalm 65:11).
God’s generosity is tied to His nature, not your earnings.
This is why David said:
“I have not seen the righteous forsaken.” (Psalm 37:25)
Not because they always had high income, but because they had a high Source.
Therefore, your provision does not rise or fall with your income.
It rises and falls with His glory, and His glory is constant.
π God blesses “not according to our merit but according to His own sovereign grace and riches.”-(Sermon reference: Proof of His Resurrection, 1955) , William Branham.
π― Takeaway
Your salary is not your source — it is only a channel.
God supplies you according to His glory, not your earnings.
π Intentional Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ, shift my eyes from my income to Your glory.
Deliver me from the subtle pride that believes I earn what You freely supply.
Let my heart rest in the truth that You bless according to Your riches, not my effort.
Today, I embrace heaven’s economy.
Amen
