“This verse kept coming to mind this week: ‘Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?’ — Ezekiel 34:2 (KJV).
We live in a world where God’s children are monetised by greedy men for their own gain. Some leaders care more for their own comfort than the flock’s welfare. They feed themselves first and leave the sheep scattered, wounded, and hungry.
Come with me to the verse of the day!
π Verse of the Day
‘The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.’ — Psalm 23:1 (KJV)
✍️ Topic: Shepherded
π± Reflection:
Life pulls us in many directions, but a shepherd’s care is steady. God doesn’t just provide things — He provides Himself. In His presence, needs lose their power to overwhelm us.
The Lord Jesus Christ is not like them, the greedy pastors who call themselves shepherds. He lays down His life for the sheep. Where men exploit, the Lord Jesus Christ restores. Where men neglect, the Lord Jesus Christ gathers. He is the Shepherd who never abandons, the One who truly cares for your soul.
William Branham reminded us, “There is only one true Shepherd, and that is the Lord Jesus Christ. Any minister that points you away from Him and to himself is a thief and a robber.” (The Good Shepherd of the Sheep, 1957)
Rest today in the assurance that you are guided, guarded, and supplied by the Good Shepherd.
π Takeaway:
You are not walking alone — His staff leads, His hand keeps, His love sustains.
π Prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for being my true Shepherd. Supply my needs as only You can. Stay with me when life feels overwhelming. Guide me in the right paths and keep me close to Your heart. Guard me from false shepherds and help me rest in Your faithful care today. Amen.
