🌱 LOAMY HEARTS – Day 6

Loamy for Evil, Hardened to Truth

Unknown Servant Notes

📖 Verse of the Day

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine…” — 2 Timothy 4:3 (KJV)

🌿 Topic

When the Heart Receives Wrong Easily but Resists Truth

🔍 Understanding the Contrast

A heart should ideally:

  • Receive truth

  • Reject error

But this condition is the opposite:

👉 It receives error easily
👉 It resists truth strongly

This is not neutrality—
it is a misaligned heart condition.

🔥 Reflection

Some hearts are not closed…
they are just selectively open.

They are:

  • Open to gossip

  • Open to assumptions

  • Open to negative reports

But when truth comes—
especially correction, clarity, or righteousness—

they become:

  • Defensive

  • Resistant

  • Uncomfortable

📖 “He that is of God heareth God’s words…” — John 8:47 (KJV)

This means:

A heart aligned with God
has a natural response to truth.

But when a heart has been trained by wrong inputs,
its responses change.

⚠️ How This Condition Develops

This does not happen instantly.

It develops when a person:

  • Repeatedly receives untested information

  • Builds internal agreement with error

  • Avoids correction

  • Prefers what satisfies emotion over what establishes truth

Over time:

  • Error becomes familiar

  • Truth becomes uncomfortable

📖 “For every one that doeth evil hateth the light… lest his deeds should be reproved.” — John 3:20 (KJV)

Truth exposes.
Error comforts.

A misaligned heart will begin to prefer comfort over correction.

🔥 The Resulting Behaviour

Such a heart will:

  • Quickly accept negative reports

  • Strongly resist clarification

  • Hold onto first impressions

  • Reject anything that challenges its formed opinion

📖 “…they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” — 2 Timothy 4:4 (KJV)

This is a serious state:

Not ignorance—
but preference for what is not true.

⚖️ Clear Responsibility

This condition is not accidental.

The Bible shows that people are responsible when they:

  • Refuse truth

  • Choose what is easier to accept

  • Continue in what they know is not properly examined

📖 “And with all deceivableness… because they received not the love of the truth…” — 2 Thessalonians 2:10 (KJV)

Notice:

They were not just lacking truth—
they did not love it enough to receive it.

🔍 Practical Signs

  • You easily believe negative things about others

  • You resist when correction is brought

  • You feel more comfortable with assumptions than verified truth

  • You avoid re-examining your conclusions

⚠️ Why This Is Dangerous

At this point:

  • The heart is no longer just unguarded

  • It is biased toward error

Truth must now fight for entrance,
while error is welcomed freely.

🙏 Prayer

Lord Jesus Christ,
realign my heart.

Where I have become open to what is wrong
and resistant to what is true,
have mercy on me.

Break every preference in me
that chooses comfort over correction.

Give me a love for truth—
a willingness to be corrected,
and a heart that responds rightly to Your Word.

Let me not harden myself against truth,
but receive it fully and honestly.

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,
Amen.

🔥 Takeaway

A dangerous heart is not just one that receives error—
but one that resists truth.

✍🏾 Unknown Servant Note

When a heart becomes comfortable with error,
truth will begin to feel like an attack.

But truth is not the enemy—
it is the correction the heart needs.
