🌱 LOAMY HEARTS
The Unknown Servant Notes
📖 Verse of the Day
“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” — Proverbs 4:23 (KJV)
🌿 Topic
A Heart That Grows Everything
🔥 Reflection
There is a kind of heart that receives everything…
and resists nothing.
It hears a matter—and immediately believes it.
It receives a report—and quickly aligns with it.
It is soft, open, and responsive…
But not to the truth—
to everything.
This is the loamy heart 🌱
A loamy heart does not question the seed.
It does not test the source.
It does not wait for understanding.
It simply receives…
and whatever it receives, it grows.
The danger is not in hearing—
the danger is in accepting without discernment.
The Lord Jesus Christ warned:
📖 “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” — Matthew 12:34 (KJV)
If evil settles in the heart,
it will not stay hidden—it will speak.
A whisper enters…
and becomes a conclusion.
A suggestion enters…
and becomes a judgment.
A report enters…
and becomes a position.
Before truth is sought,
before love intervenes,
before righteousness weighs the matter—
🌿 the heart has already grown it.
📖 “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” — 1 Corinthians 15:33 (KJV)
Evil communication does not knock loudly.
It enters subtly…
but grows rapidly in an unguarded heart.
Some hearts have become so loamy
that when a character assassin sows a seed,
they do not just receive it—
🔥 they expand it.
They go beyond what was said.
They deepen what was implied.
They act with a conviction that was never verified.
And in doing so,
they become more dangerous than the one who planted the seed.
Beloved…
not every soft heart is a pure heart.
A heart can be soft—
and still be corruptible.
A heart can be open—
and still be undiscerning.
📖 “He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.” — Proverbs 18:13 (KJV)
The Lord Jesus Christ is not calling us
to be open to every voice—
He is calling us
to be rooted in His Word.
🙏 Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ,
search my heart.
Where I have been quick to receive words that were not from You,
have mercy on me.
Uproot every seed that was planted in error,
every judgment I formed without truth,
every agreement I made with corruption.
Give me a discerning heart—
one that is soft to Your Word,
but guarded against every evil seed.
Teach me to wait, to test, and to judge righteously.
Let my heart become good ground—
not for gossip, not for slander,
but for truth, purity, and life.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,
Amen.
🔥 Takeaway
A loamy heart will grow anything—
but a guarded heart chooses what is allowed to live.
✍🏾 Unknown Servant Note
Do not pride yourself in being “open-hearted” if your heart has no gate.
A beautiful house without a gate will invite thieves.
